Man Olympics 2014 is a brand new approach to sporting events that mixes high-energy, innovation, unique gaming concepts, and common camaraderie to create memories that are guaranteed to last a lifetime. The weekend begins on Friday, July 11 with a ceremonial lighting of the torch followed by a casual debrief for the weekend’s operations and flow. On the Saturday & Sunday to follow, teams of 4 participants will suit up to the theme of High School Gym Attire. “Cool-points” will be awarded to teams that are visually synchronized and have some sort of unique prop, twist, and/or idea to provide the games.
Let the games begin! Teams will compete in 20 events to declare and crown the most prestigious award of all, the coined: “Men of Man Olympics 2014”. Single tickets are 60$ and include access to the Man Olympic Campground Facilities (to be used Saturday overnight) at 165 Chemin Senneville, all organizational costs, a donation to the James Ratcliffe Scholarship Fund, and your food for the weekend. Man Olympics will also welcome the likes of local musician’s, DJs, artists, and any one else looking to promote and showcase their work.
As absolute fun is required, we cannot stress enough that fierce competition cannot be had without strict respect for yourself and those around you. Time to bust out your headbands. Pull up your gym shorts. Roll up those fluorescent sleeves.
